Sa’a

Sa’a was created in the early 20th century, precisely, August 17, 1952 by German settlers. This town is inhabited by the Etons and Manguissa. Sa’a covers an area of 520 km2 with a population of 71,000 people. It is an old city that is gradually emerging to urbanisation.

The history of Sa’a is closely linked to that of two ethnic groups whose ancestors came from the right bank of River Sanaga, after migration, these are Etons being the majority and Manguissa in the minority. According to historians, the name of the town was derived from'' sal'' means sharing in the local language or division. '' Sal'' became “Saa” is the name of the small stream that defined areas of influence Manguissa and Eton who fought for the current site of the city
