World Bank director of operations, Gregor Binkert, leaves Cameroon

The official adieu for the World Bank expert was organised on Friday June 26, 2015 in Yaoundé with the Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo representing the government of Cameroon.

Gregor Hans Binkert ended a four year mission to Cameroon during which time the Cameroon government and the Brinton Woods Institution have been at their best, in terms of collaboration.

During the four years, the World Bank financed a number of national development projects; the Lom Pangar which is near completion, being one of the most important.

Gregor Hans Binkert talking to the press after an audience that preceded the diner, stated that in 2011 when he began his mission in Cameroon, the finance package for Cameroon was 900 million dollars and presently it is 1.4 billion dollars; a clear indicator of the fruitful cooperation with the Brinton Wood institution.

Also during this period, Cameroon qualified for financing from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) that helped her improved on the energy and construction of more road infrastructures.
