He was welcomed by Group President and CEO for ACMAR Media Group West & Central Africa Mr. Bony Dashaco (left), who said: “We are committed to providing the best media communication solutions and experiences with a measurable impact on our clients businesses, using relevant technology and our people while adopting world best proven practices as our base.”

The Ambassador was accompanied by Embassy Branch Office Douala Principal Officer Stuart Wilson and Public Affairs Officer Roberto Quiroz II.

In his responses, the Ambassador underscored U.S. support for Cameroon’s security efforts against Boko Haram, its commitment to implement health programs in Cameroon in partnership with Cameroonians, and priority to conduct exchanges and youth outreach programs to promote development through the talents, ideas, and immense contributions of Cameroonians, especially women and girls. “All nations which seek to develop – including the U.S. and Cameroon - must welcome the contributions of women and girls,” he said.

The Ambassador also added his commitment to promote greater investments from American companies in Cameroon through fair competition and under four guiding principles: First, that they hire and train Cameroonians. Second, that they share the latest technology with Cameroonians. Third, that they conduct transparent business and not engage in corruption, which is punishable under U.S. law. Finally and fourth, that American companies implement corporate responsibility programs to serve Cameroonian communities.

Mr. Dashaco was placed among the "100 African Leaders of Tomorrow" in 2015 by Forbes. Listed as the second Cameroonian on the list, Mr. Dashaco, age 36, is a native of Buea and is the CEO of Acmar Media Group, a leading independent media consulting agency in Cameroon. As founder and CEO, he has 16 years of experience in media communication, planning and research.

Ambassador Hoza congratulated Mr. Dashaco for his strides in media communication, noting that "As a leader in the private sector, you are key to the development of Cameroon."

He also added that the United States supports private sector growth in Cameroon through the innovation of Cameroonians to promote economic development, job creation and corporate excellence that will lead this nation towards a path of peace and prosperity for all citizens.
