Brasseries du Cameroun Brasseries du Cameroun

Companies belonging to the "Brasseries du Cameroun" which is listed on the Euronext Paris will hold their ordinary and extraordinary general meetings on June 25, to validate the performance of the fiscal year 2014. This includes that of mineral waters (SEMC) and beverages (SABC), subsidiaries whose results have indicated increased volumes of sales.

The mineral waters company of Cameroon listed on the Douala Stock Exchange, known for its brand of bottled water, Tangui, declared that it sold 9.7 billion CFA francs of manufactured products, which increased when compared to 8.7 billion CFA francs achieved in 2013.

Meanwhile, the Société Anonyme des Brasseries du Cameroun (subsidiary for "drinks" of the Group), announced a sales of manufactured products at 330 billion CFA FRANCS, against 301,14 billion CFA FRANCS in 2013.

The two companies however experienced increase in sales, which sealed performance at the operating income level. These loads were 10 billion CFA francs for SEMC, a rise compared to 8.33 billion CFA francs spent in 2013. For the SABC, this indicator shows an increase of more than 31 billion CFA FRANCS.

However, both companies recorded a different curve of net results. The SEMC resumed in 2014 with a positive net margin of 262 million CFA FRANCS, after the loss of 317 million FCFA in 2013. For its part, the SABC remains on a positive margin of 24.7 billion CFA FRANCS in 2014. A figure which however is down by 2 billion CFA FRANCS compared to 2013.

On Euronext Paris, some investors seem to be in limbo. The capital increase and the allocation of free shares proposed accordingly by the SABC seem not very well understood. At the same time, it may be noted that the course of action of the Group has experienced a drastic fall from 641 euros to 123 euros between 9 and 12 June 2015.

Two things are certain however, shareholders of the SABC residing in France will receive a net dividend of 2975 FCFA and the other 2923 FCFA. In the SEMC, it offers the same categories of shareholders, a dividend of 510 FCFA and 501 CFA FRANCS respectively.
