Sonara to construct loading station for tankers

The Cameroonian Ministry of Public Procurement has launched an international call for tenders, for the recruitment of a company for the construction of a new tanker loading station at the Société National de Raffinage (Sonara – National Oil Refinery Company).

The service which will have to be completed within 24 months will cost FCFA 14.4 billion, we learn.

Companies interested in this tendering process, who are invited to submit their bids at the Ministry of Public Procurement latest by August 12, 2016, will have to ensure they add a collateral worth in total FCFA 242.6 million.

As a reminder, Sonara, the only refinery of Cameroon, has been for several years in the process of expanding and modernising its equipment, which first phase should be completed within the current year.

The long-term objective is to increase its production, and foremost, to acquire a hydrocracker to refine the local crude oil.
