The Cameroonian Senate received a draft amendment of the law on commercial activities, on November 19, 2015.

"This is a good bill that will pass the examination by the Committee of trade and production, and will be discussed in details later", said Peter Mafany Musongue, one of the senators who spoke to journalists.

The content of the text has not been made public. But in the opinion of people involved in the process, the law will be defended by Luc Magloire Atangana Minister for Trade, who will look into the provision since its adoption in 1990 and which have become obsolete.

The government hopes this amendment produce rules that will allow better regulation of trade in goods and services within the Cameroonian market, with the objective to make it more dynamic production of goods by locals.
