The UN Empretec program in partnership with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA), organized a training workshop for local entrepreneurs in the industrial sector.

The training began since October 19, 2015, in Douala.

The national consultants were trained on the methodology of the Empretec program. For ten days, they will receive knowledge on managerial performance, planning, research opportunities, quality, among others.

The MINPMEESA, Laurent Serges Etoundi Ngoa, officially launched the workshop in quality, selective and innovative training. Through this workshop, a hundred promoters of SMEs have been formed - within three sessions held recently in Yaounde. "In the end, we want our companies to be modern and able to access credit and this will also reduce unemployment rates," the Minister said.

For Mireille Abongo Menanga, program manager in Cameroon, the training of entrepreneurs will continue on the ground, with a tracking company through an analysis of the existing and a study of strengths and weaknesses. This will be in order to be even stronger. To benefit from this training, it is necessary to have aptitude during selections of ministry managers. The training ends on October 31.
