The director of the SMEs did not hide his satisfaction: "I am very pleased that the State has recognized the need for an SME bank like ours to help us to better develop our country. Our expectation is that the banks will be involved in our activities, our indulgence and our difficulties that meanders."

And like other future clients, Felicien Kommegne was informed about the various products offered by the BC-SME SA products which are categorized in two; conventional (has to do with the opening of current or savings accounts and loans) and key-in-hand (corresponds to the specific needs of SMEs). In as much as there were detailed tenders by the head of the office, Olivier Djaba, and his collaborators, the first day was more of "an information day", as explained by the Director General of BC SMEs SA, Agnes Mandeng. In this sense, she met professional accounting organizations in the early hours of the opening.

At the pre-opening, deputy DG, Amadou Haman stated: "This is an opportunity for the bank to test its computer system, organization, human resources and techniques to ensure that all these, when put together, works consistently. And we do it by getting customers."

It is an important task with Douala and Yaoundé representing 70% of SMEs in Cameroon. In Yaounde after its opening on July 20 to 31, almost 200 accounts have been opened with deposits ranging between 70 and 100 FCfa million.
