SCDP express surprise over the shortage of fuel in Yaoundé

After fuel shortages that shook the city of Yaounde last weekend, the situation seems to have returned to normal.

This was the observation made by the government daily, Cameroon Tribune, which indicated the state of things in its release on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

The journal revealed that a tour at some gas stations in the city of Yaoundé revealed that there was fuel.

According to Cameroonian society of petroleum deposits, whose primary mission is to satisfy Cameroon customer, through the rational provision and without breaks, petroleum products in sufficient quantity and of good quality, indicated that in the current state, this shortage is incomprehensible.

Asked by Cameroon Tribune, Malloum Bra, head of deposits in Yaounde, said that nothing explains that these service stations are not supplied, "since we have enough products, our tanks are also almost full.

However, Malloum Bra attempted an explanation: "I think that some sellers have difficulties to refuel their tanks smoothly. Maybe their distribution network does not work, because they are far more demanding when it comes to security. They always do check on their trucks, they also see the compliance of their refuelling equipment before giving them order.
