The fourth edition of the Salon of Government Action (SAGO) opened at the Palais des Sports in Yaoundé on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

The Mayor of Yaoundé II, Luc Assamba cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the exhibition.

At the opening of the exhibition, a panel discussion on governance set the tone for what will be exposed. It focused on the theme, “National Good Governance Programme (PNG), 16 years of promoting governance in Cameroon."

The program coordinator, Mr. Bernard Momo, presented the records while retracing the route of the PNG ideology on concrete achievements.

A few minutes after the official opening ceremony, stands located inside the Sports Centre were crowded with the many visitors under the gaze of the organizers and exhibitors.

This exhibition is an opportunity for various companies to present their products and their contributions to the emergence of Cameroon. The coordinator of the exhibition, Patrice Assiga, stated that more than 200 companies are exhibiting their products during the fair. He added that the purpose of the forum is to display public companies to the public.

Exhibitors were serene and optimistic. They hoped visitors come massively to discover the innovations of this year. An example was Mr Blasius Ngome, the Public Relations Manager of a Southwest petroleum company. It was his fourth and he is optimistic about the visibility of his business.

On the visitors’ side, we noted some enthusiasm among many. For Abena Aurelia, a communications student, this is her first visit. She hoped to enjoy the atmosphere and learn about the different companies.

The 200 stands were almost occupied. The forum ends on Friday, August 21, 2015.
