Another opportunity to project small and medium-size enterprises in Cameroon through the International Forum for Small and Medium-size Enterprises, PMEXCHANGE, fair is imminent. Event organiser, the business association, Cameroon Enterprises, ECAM, unveiled the pack of innovations for the 2015 edition to the media in the ECAM Conference Hall in Douala on October 30, 2015.

The 3rd edition, which will run from December 5-9, 2015, will see the participation of 50 Moroccan companies, an opportunity for Cameroonian SMEs to tap from their rich experience and create partnerships. In prelude to the event that will project SMEs, the President of the Organising Committee, Jean Perrial Nyodog, said the forum will help SMEs to showcase their know-how to some expected 40,000 visitors.

The President of ECAM, Lucien Ntamack Mahop, said the change of site from the Bonanjo Party House to the Sawa Hotel in Douala, the participation of a guest of honour from Morocco and a competition to sponsor the first three projects, were some of the highlights for 2015. Since PMEXCHANGE is the only forum that brings together SMEs, the President said, the first and second editions were very successful, with 150 and 250 participants registered respectively in 2012 and 2013.

The third edition will involve over 300 participants. The forum, which will take place on the theme: “SMEs create jobs and encourage innovation,” will also discuss new methods for financing SMEs, moving from the informal to the formal sector and innovation as a vector to descent employment.

The highly-awaited event, which will be attended by several cabinet ministers, will be under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Head of Government.
