PAN receives in audience a delegation of Chinese investors

The President of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, received in audience a delegation of Chinese investors led by Ke Shun Xu.

The rehabilitation of the Palais des Congrès and the Hotel of Deputies was the agenda of the meeting.

Almost an hour, the exchange was particularly long between the president of the National Assembly and members of the delegation of the Chinese consortium Anhui Construction Engineering Group co. Ltd. led by its vice-president Ke Shun Xu that Tuesday morning.

The topics for discussion, as revealed by the guests of PAN, were the ongoing rehabilitation works on the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé and the Hotel for deputies in Yaoundé. For the first part, they carried out a donation without compensation which amounted to 10 billion FCFA from China. The work has been ongoing for over a few week.

Also, as Executive Director of this institution, Christophe Mien Zok recently explained that it is quite a heavy work which includes civil engineering with the rehabilitation of all facades, interior, and exterior lighting pathways. We will also proceed to change the facing of walls, ceiling and the building of 30 years water circuits, among others.

Concerning the hotel for deputies in Yaoundé, which is much more older in addition to one of the walls nearly collapsed recently, must also undergo other civil engineering work.

Asked about a possible interest of this group for the construction of the new Palace for the National Assembly, the head of the Chinese delegation said he had discussions with his host on that but he planned to focus on it once he leaves for his native land, China.
