Orange lost 258,000 subscribers in last quarter of 2014

The French group, Orange lost almost 285,000 subscribers between September and December of the year 2014, revealed February 17, 2015 indicators of performance for the year of reference, published by the Orange group.

September 30, Orange Cameroon had 6,495 million subscribers, which reduced to 6,237 million at the end of the year 2014.

Other counter-performance of the operator, the average revenue per user, one of the key indicators in the area of mobile telephony, which reached its lowest level since 2012, with only 3.7 euros (1,967 CFA francs) per month, after a long period maintained at 3.8 euros between the fourth quarter of 2013 and the third quarter of 2014.

It has also been noted, always on the basis of these indicators, that its number of customers for internet service is only 2,000 people.

In the context of loss of speed, revenues for Orange Cameroon for the year 2014 also fell to 285 million euros (187 billion Cfa francs), against EUR 287 million generated in 2013 and € 307 million generated in 2012.

The company has not yet commented on these figures and might not do so before March 17, 2015, day provided by its parent company for a global conference on his performance.
