The port of Kribi in south Douala, Cameroon, continues to go through phases of development.
If the bulk of the work (led by the Chinese company, CHEC) had been finalized in 2014, it would have enabled the grant of concessions for the management of terminals.
However, two French companies won the tenders with their respective consortium last week. The French companies, Bolloré and CMA-CGM, including the Chinese CHEC will manage the container terminal.
The French logistician of Necotrans stated that he will manage the multipurpose terminal of Kribi. A trademark of this group was that they partnered with local operators to win the market.
