Mebe Ngo’o holds emergency meeting with Camair-Co chief

Minister of Transport Mebe Ngo’o Minister of Transport Mebe Ngo’o

Alafnet.com has been reliably informed that Cameroon minister of transport Allen Mebe Ngo’o had an emergency meeting Tuesday 8 of March 2016 in Yaounde with the DG of National Airlines company (Camair-co) Jean Nana Sandjo .

Though details of the said meeting are still sketchy our source says top on the agenda of this meeting was unpaid salaries of Camair-co staff who are currently one month in areas despite government subsidies.

While many believe this meeting is long overdue it is also expected that the two discussed some of the issues that have plagued the state owned air lines of late ranging from the seizure of Camair-co’s Boeing in France, the Dja being held in Ethiopia for un paid bills and even the current grounding of the two MA60 planes in Douala and how possible it is that out of Camair-co just 1 is now flying.

With the date of the nation’s cup fast approaching it will be a surprise if both men did not talk about emergency plans like opening Cameroon internal routes to other airlines companies. Because it is looking increasingly lightly that if this is not done players will have to be transported by road to the various stadia assigned for the African campaign.

We question our source if the issue of an audit by the MINFI could have been discussed, he notes that this is unlikely as the SG of the Republic Ferdinand Ngho-ngho via Akame Foumou , who is an advisor of the President of the Republic had blocked the audits.

An act we think was done to cover up all the wrong doings in this state company being exposed as it continues to enjoy mismanagement.
