Ministry of Finance (MINFI) has warned Cameroonian banks who do not comply with the legal obligation to show in all their agencies, their banking conditions, for the benefit of customers.
There is a table listing the costs that are charged in the various services of credit institutions.
At the same time, official sources revealed that banks and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) do not always circulate state information and data on the platform set up by the National Credit Committee, to the right information national banking community and better monitoring of activities in the banking sector in Cameroon.
These two observations are made in a press release that served only as a warning and published by the Cameroon Ministry of Finance (MINFI), the national monetary authority.
In addition, these requirements fall under the regulations in force in Cameroon, the Minister of Finance, Alamine Ousmane Mey, who is also president of the National Credit Committee invites banks responsible and EMF to readjust, under penalty of sanctions provided in the matter.
