The fashion industry takes the lead as Italian shoes, dresses and bags are sold in many shops in the country.
Many Cameroonians go for such products irrespective of their prices due to their high quality and class.
In the construction industry, Italian ceramic tiles are greatly sought after by Cameroonians due to their beauty and durability.
It is worth indicating that Italians do have a lot of expertise in road construction – in the early 1980’s, an Italian company constructed most of the streets in Bamenda ahead of the Agric Show at the CNU Congress.
Moreover, Italy is amongst Cameroon’s economic suppliers, with many Cameroonians seeking economic opportunities in Italy.
In the food sector, Italian meals especially pasta like spaghetti and macaroni are cherished by Cameroonians of all ages and classes.
