The rainy season has made its comeback to the City of Yaounde. After the heat most people had been used to, the heavy downpour in Yaounde is welcomed with a sigh of relief for some but is a source of complaint for others.
Delicate shoes and other clothing have been neatly tucked away to adapt to the rougher weather. After the downpour which lasted throughout the afternoon of Friday September 7, 2013, vehicles and pedestrians could be seen going across some flooded sections of the Central Post Office roundabout.
At the Coron neighbourhood, some pedestrians went through the dirty waters after folding up their trousers while at the Mimboman neighbourhood; specifically at "Carrefour Edimo", several houses were flooded. Such scenarios abound in the capital city as the rains are just beginning.
