Germany mobilizes nearly 43b FCFA for CMR in 2013

According to Klaus-Ludwig Keferstein, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cameroon, the country's Chancellor Angela Merkel mobilized almost 43 billion Cfa francs in favour of Cameroon in the year 2013, on 99.5 billion forecasted for the triennium 2011-2013.

Such financial support, according to the German diplomat, who revealed this information during a reception held in Yaoundé on October 2, 2014, as a prelude to the celebration of the day of German unity on 3 October, helped boost the decentralization process of the country, the modernization of public finance and rural development.

On the period 2014-2016, period of intergovernmental negotiations between Cameroon and the Germany, the envelope placed at the disposal of Cameroon will be revised upwards by 11%, to continue to support the process of decentralization and local development.
