Geremi Njitap diverts into real estate

The real estate company GNF, belonging to the former footballer in Cameroon Njitap Fotso Geremi Sorel is among the top 13 national and international companies that have signed September 9, 2014 in Yaounde, investment agreements with the State of Cameroon, as part of the implementation of the Act of 18 April 2013 concerning incentives for private investment in the country.

A law that provides substantial exemptions from 5 to 10 years to companies, that the former defender of the Indomitable Lions, considered as a "great opportunity to facilitate investment in the country," but also as a "great opportunity for (his) diversion" after a successful football career.

"I am engaged in the real estate sector, where I think the need is real in Cameroon. My staff and I are going to build social housing. It's good for Cameroonians in the sense that it creates jobs, but also to accommodate some of our brothers, "said the former player of Real Madrid.

Remember, Société immobilière du Cameroun (SIC), the public real estate company responsible for the promotion of social housing, has built only about 12,000 homes for over 50 years.

Today, the housing deficit in the country is estimated at more than one million units.
