“Gaz du Cameroun” can now supply the Bonabéri industrial zone

Gaz du Cameroun (GDC), a subsidiary of Victoria Oil and Gas, said on ct. 29 it has completed the construction of a pipeline under the Wouri River, which divides the economic city of Douala in two.

With this breakthrough, the company can now supply natural gas to the industrial area of Bonabéri which concentrates a large number of plant production.

In the same time, GDC informed that it had built a network of 1.2 km of pipeline in the area of Bonabéri, connecting at the same time three companies that have already made various investments to migrate electricity to natural gas.

The company that developed the Logbaba gas project now seems to be on track. Among its clients include the cement plant of the Dangote Group, and also Guinness Cameroon, a major actor in the marketing of beverages in Africa.

The company also said they are in talks with state-owned electricity distribution Eneo.

On the other hand, the company said in its annual report that they have negotiated with Customs for an annual exemption on the import of suitable electricity generators.

These do not seem to impress investors of Victoria Oil and Gas on the London financial market.

After growing strongly October 29, 2014 after the announcement of the completion of the pipeline under the river Wouri, the title began this Friday, October 31 on a decline of 3.3%.

On the investors' forum of the London Stock Exchange, it shows that the uncertainties on the exact number of customers already conquered and profitable market today, floats a wave of concern among investors.
