Eutelsat cut signals of CRTV because of unpaid bills

Since Tuesday 5th January 2016, viewers of CRTV were unable to have images on cable. the signals disappeared at around 5:30 PM and came back only on Wednesday 6th January in the morning.

CRTV Radio was back in the morning of Wednesday, but CRTV -TV was still not accessible. So La Nouvelle Expression Newspaper said to have known the cause of this problem. And according to them, the signals were cut by Eutelsat, which is the company providing the signals of CRTV. It seems the CRTV had unpaid bills, and they had to cut off the signals.

The general manager of CRTV validated this information, and explained that everything possible was made at his own level to clear the debts, and that he contacted the minister of finance to accelerate the payment of the debt.

Still in the newspaper, Vamoulke expressed his surprise on the fact that the partner of CRTV decided to cut everything. He condemns their attitude. “We thought we understood each other when to our surprise, our partner made us this act during a ceremony at the national level, especially involving the President of the Republic. We wonder if this is how our partner thinks we can continue this cooperation, “he threatens.
