Ethiopian Airlines announce launch of Yaoundé flights

Ethiopian Airlines Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines will make its first flight on October 25, 2015, to Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport located on the outskirts of the Cameroonian capital, announced the airline in an official statement published on September 21, 2015.

So far, “the largest and most profitable African airline" serves only Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon, with a destination launched in 1971 and for which Ethiopian Airlines have offered uninterrupted services since 2003.

Now, in addition to Douala, Ethiopian Airlines will serve Yaoundé through four flights per week: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

According to the company, this new service “will offer customers more convenience and greater connectivity to the Ethiopian global network via its hub in Addis Ababa.”
