Entrepreneurship: Libom Li Likeng offers students FCFA 2.4 mln

Minette Libom Likeng Li, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications (MINPOSTEL) awarded FCFA 1.2 million to each of the winning teams of the 2015 Entrepreneurship Challenge Project.

The students who were grouped into 14 teams from the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Posts and Telecommunications (ENSPT) participated in the competition at the start.

It was a question of convincing the jury by presenting a viable and bankable project.

"Wenth Watching" and "Local E. Solution" are the two teams to have benefited from the price offered by the MINPOSTEL.

"WenthWatching created a platform to educate parents on the schooling of their children through a smartphone while the Local E Solution team, showed an application that can locate lost items," the Quotidien Emergence newspaper reported on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.

The newspaper said the two projects were presented by two diverse teams of engineers from P and T and managers of P and T. The other teams also had pretty interesting projects.

Other projects included "equipment for a digital workspace, authentication of taxis by the door number from the mobile phone and digital signal in a site to avoid dirty walls," just to mention a few.

According to the jury of "Entrepreneurship Challenge project," this competition aims to enable students "to provide innovative solutions to real problems of society."
