Egis wins bid to construct western access route to Douala

Egis Group International in Cameroon has been declared the successful bidder of a project management for the construction of a West access route to Douala, designed to improve traffic flow between the economic capital of Cameroon and the West and Southwest regions.

According to the official statement issued by the Minister of Public Markets, Abba Sadou, this market is a total of 1.947 billion CFA francs, and should be completed within 32 months.

In July 2014, the Cameroonian government had awarded the construction of that road, about 13 Km long to Sogea Satom, a total of 51 billion CFA francs.

Funding is provided by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the State of Cameroon.
