Egis to carry out feasibility studies for 3 highway projects

The group made of the engineering firms (BET in French) Egis International and Egis Cameroon, was selected by the Cameroonian government to carry out feasibility and preliminary design studies, for the construction of three highways in the country, we officially learned.

For this service which is meant to be executed within a maximum period of 15 months, according to the Ministry of Public Procurement, the group of above-mentioned BET will collect FCFA 857.9 million.

The highway projects concerned by these studies are the second phase of the Yaoundé-Douala motorway, meant to link the two capitals of the country through a modern road; the Edéa-Kribi motorway, which will help lessen the traffic on the road leading to the deep water port of Kribi; and the Douala-Limbe-Bafoussam motorway, which is a component of the Yaoundé-Douala-Bafoussam-Yaoundé motorway loop.
