Douala International Airport: Traffic resumes

Flights have resumed at the Douala International Airport this 22nd March 2016 after 21 days of renovation works.

Early this morning, the first plane landed on the tarmac of the airport at 3:30 a.m meanwhile the next followed about five hours later. Since then, other aircrafts have landed at the airport.

Transport Minister, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o was in Douala to live the resumption of activities at the airport.

The Minister expressed satisfaction with the success of the work and congratulated those who financed the project as well as the engineers who carried out the field work.

Though flights have resumed at the Douala International Airport, some finishing touches are still going on at some sections.
