Commonwealth Business Forum begins on Wednesday

The official launching ceremony of the Commonwealth Business Forum for Cameroon will be held on September 3, 2015 at the Sawa Hotel in the economic capital.

A preliminary CBF international event will be held from November 24 to 26 in Malta on "The Commonwealth: Global Adding value - Creating a Prosperous Commonwealth."

The meeting in Douala on Thursday will inform local economic operators on the opportunities offered by the CBF and mobilize more than in the past, to take part in this high mass of the 53 English speaking countries.

The CBF, which will be held ahead of the Summit of Heads of State and Government (CHOGM), will focus on the role the private sector can play in achieving sustainable development goals coming within the Agenda post-2015 UN.

The Forum will also focus on India and Africa, hence the need for economic operators on the continent to get to the level of their counterparts elsewhere and meet global market requirements.
