Coffee Festival in Cameroon: Italy, guest of honor

Italy is the guest of honor of the fourth edition of the International Coffee Festival in Cameroon, called (Festicoffe), according to the Interprofessional Council of Cocoa and Coffee Board (CICC), yesterday.

It is an event that will take place from May 5 to 7, 2016 in Yaounde.

The edition of this year should see the participation of Italian operators in the coffee sector, particularly those from the city of Trieste, home to one of the largest coffee landing ports in Europe.

The participation of Italian operators in the 4th edition of Festicoffee according to CICC, "fits perfectly into the Italian win back strategy where the Cameroonian coffee has lost significant market share in recent years ".

This is to reverse this trend that the CICC organized from September 11 to 20, 2015, on the sidelines of the last World Milano Expo, an economic mission of Cameroonian coffee sector operators in the Italian cities of Milan, Trieste, Gorizia and Udine.

Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce, the 2016 edition of Festicofee intends to make important innovations, including the organization of the festival in several production areas.
