Clarification of fictitious officials delayed

The clarification of the 3198 listed names of fictious government officials have taken far too long, the Mutations newspaper reported.

As a result Michelangelo Angouing, the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA) has stressed that the public officials who fail to report to their Human Resource Management to clarify their confirmation into the public sector will have their pay suspended.

In the said statement, dated Friday, 20 November 2015, it read; '3198 officials to present three essential documents to continue working in the government sector'. These document include a recruitment letter to the public service, a certificate of service and an attendance certificate not older than three months.

According to MINFOPRA, Michelangelo Angouing, those who do not submit the required documents will have their pay suspended.

Many dysfunctions

Among the grievances of officials was an unamed police officer who complained about the issue to the Mutations newspaper.

According to a Police officer, "My wife recognized the name of one of her former colleagues who has been in Europe for more than three years."

There was also the case of names of some workers pinned from 3198 and who were reported to have been counted among the first draft of the census phase responsible for the implementation of the new Integrated Management System personnel of State and pay (Sygipes I).

Also among the malfunctions in the 3198 list were the names of deceased officials, misspelt or ommitted names, etc.
