Centurion Law Group settles in Cameroon and targets the oil and gas sector

Centurion Law Group, an international law firm, will install an office in the city of Douala, Cameroon's economic capital, according to a formal statement issued on September 8, 2015.

Legal Advisers of the Pan African cabinet, sources revealed, provide services in areas such as arbitration, commercial litigation, corporate law, taxation and contract negotiation.

According to its promoters, Centurion Law Group provides a dynamic growth plan in Cameroon in the coming years, including relying on "industry resurgent oil and gas," in which the law firm has great experience.”

After several years of general decline in production in 2014, Cameroon has experienced an increase in oil production. Moreover, the market has a new law on gas and a series of licenses issued in 2014, which attract more foreign participants to which Centurion Law Group now aims to offer its expertise.

The Centurion Law Group office in Douala will consist of eight Cameroonian lawyers who have academic and professional qualifications obtained in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Nigeria and Cameroon.

The law firm claims contracts in major oil and gas markets of Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Chad, Ghana, Gabon, Nigeria and Angola .
