The Cameroonian government, through the Ministry of Finance, has launched a "call for the recruitment of an audit consultant and to assist Camair-Co in the development of a restructuring and recovery plan."

According to the government, “the recovery plan developed by the company in November 2013 and which was updated in 2014 could not be implemented. Difficulties increased to such an extent that they threatened to balance with the company and hence the continuation of its operation.”

Firms interested in this provision aim at giving value to Camair Co, are urged to submit their offers no later than September 30, 2015, at 12 noon, at the Ministry of Finance in Yaoundé. The mission must be carried out within a maximum period of three months, sources said.

As a reminder, since the launch of its activities in 2011, Cameroonian public air Transport Company has never really taken off in terms of competitiveness and profitability.

With a fleet that never exceeded three aircraft, Camair-Co works on a debt officially estimated at 30 billion FCFA, recently revealed by its Director Gneral, Jean Paul Nana Sandjo, since the maiden flight of the company 4 years ago.
