CMR, Egypt discuss cooperation in aviation sector

Rich and dense, could be the description for the encounter between Robert Nkili, Minister of transport (Mint) and Salah Eldin Elleithy and Martial Beti-Mahmoodnejad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt and Ambassador of the Central African Republic (CAR) respectively, in Cameroon Tuesday in Yaounde.

Beyond the greetings, hosts revisited the friendship relations and cooperation between their different countries in Cameroon, a cooperation that Egypt wants to renew in the field of air and maritime transport.

During their exchanges, Robert Nkili and Salah Eldin Elleithy returned on the visit by a delegation from air carriers in Cairo from 14 to 16 April 2014.

They also made the point on cooperation in the civil aviation sector, thus learned that the process of revision and completion of the bilateral air agreement signed between Cameroon and Egypt in 1996 is making progress.

The transit of goods from the CAR by Cameroon and the East border security has furnished exchanges between the Minister Robert Nkili and Martial Beti-Mahmoodnejad. In a friendship Visit, the Central African diplomat said they came to examine the State of cooperation between Cameroon and CAR, neighbours and friends, especially on the transportation plan.

Indeed, 85% of the goods of that country pass through Cameroon, its road network being landlocked. While the closure of the borders has somewhat slowed this activity, Martial Beti-Mahmoodnejad assured that: "everything goes well and the transit of goods is done without difficulties.
