Bolloré Africa's capital up by over CFA10 bn

The Cameroonian subsidiary of the French Group Bolloré Africa Logistics (BAL) has increased its capital share from CFA 4.7 billion to CFA 10.62 billion. According to sources close to the company, the operation was carried out by an increase in the nominal value of shares, which jumped from CFA 15,000 per unit to CFA 33,363.

The company has also on the one hand, incorporated in the capital, CFA 5.88 billion, which appeared in the 'Revaluation Gap’ line item of its balance sheet, and on the other hand CFA 8.853 billion written in the 'Free Reserves’ line item.

Through this business, Bolloré Africa Logistics Cameroon, which is very active in the logistics and transport services has written, with the process put in place since 2010 by the Cameroonian government, a text, improving the one adopted as part of OHADA (Organization for the Harmonization Business Law in Africa) in the field of trade.

At the end of the process, the companies will choose between investing the capital gain of the shares, for a 5 percent special tax exemption in return and incorporating it in line with the provisions of OHADA.
