BDEAC pledges CMR 40bn FCFA loan for road dev't

BDEAC has pledged a loan of 40 billion CFA FRANCS to Cameroon for road construction.

This loan will mainly go to finance Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena road development in the central region. The loan also concerns funding granted by BDEAC in its partial realization of the program of support to the transport sector.

The achievement of the first phase of this long road of 249 km should allow this large pool of production to deliver agricultural production in areas of high consumption.

Accordingly, the president of the Republic Paul Biya has empowered the Minister of the economy, planning and regional development to sign a loan agreement to this effect.
