BAPCCUL takes services to Mile Three Nkwen, B’da

The Divisional Officer for Bamenda III Subdivision, Walters Takang, has praised authorities of the Bamenda Police Cooperative Credit Union, BAPCCUL, for taking the union closer to the population of Mile Three, Bamenda, hence boosting the economy of the area.

DO Takang was speaking recently, while inaugurating the new BAPCCUL branch. He also lauded BAPCCUL for respecting COBAC regulations.

Talking on the insecurity of micro finance institutions in Bamenda, Takang expressed worries that another BAPCCUL branch at Ghana Street has been attacked twice by thieves. He said the administration will continue to work with BAPCCUL to ensure security and catch the villains.

The Mayor of Bamenda III Council, Cletus Fongu, said the coming of BAPCCUL to Mile Three is strategic and promised to mobilise more members to make the Bamenda III branch the leading branch amongst BAPCCUL branches in Cameroon.

The President of the BAPCCUL, Musa Shey Nfor, said the two events, educational and sensitisation meeting, and the opening of the new BAPCCUL branch marks the apex of decentralisation.

According to him, the population has been yearning for the new branch to be created.

“In less than nine weeks that this branch was created, we have registered over 200 members and savings of FCFA 80 million,” Musa Shey disclosed.

He further enumerated the products and services the new branch offers to include; contract financing, agricultural financing, payment of salaries, money transfer among others.

Board Members of BAPCCUL and participants were drilled on topics such as; savings, loans and loans management and so on.

The General Manager of BAPCCUL, Godlove Ngum, said the competent staff of the institution has contributed greatly to the geometrical growth of BAPCCUL.

The Mile Three branch is headed by Esther Muffuh.
