Audit personnel at MINFI receive training

Forty auditors at MINFI began training in Yaounde on Monday to improve their knowledge and skills in auditing.

This initiative was carried out by partners of Forhom Institute de La Rochelle in France. According to Minfi, the training process was initiated to enable the future auditor to stand out.

The seminar was organized in three sessions each for five days. The general objective was to impart knowledge to the Dcob participants to enable them apply advanced techniques of budget monitoring.

"The start date within the scope of the implementation of the modernization and development of the audit activity plan was entrusted to the Division of budgetary control, audit and quality expenditure in the Budget of the Directorate-General”, said the Minfi.

Participants are also expected to be familiar with budget control techniques and the fundamentals of results-based management. It will also be during this meeting that fundamentals about auditing and auditing of public management systems and procedures will be tackled.

"If the budgetary and financial control is a traditional activity of the Division du contrôle budgétaire, audit and quality of the expenditure (Dcob), the audit department is relatively new to it."

The Minister of Finance (Minfi), Alamine Ousmane Mey, made the above statement at the opening of the Dcob personnel training seminar in relation to performances of the auditors in his department.

This will include the flap and evaluation of public investment operations and performance of administrations.

The Minfi indicated that the implementation of reforms in the budgetary aspects, finance and the systematic search for performance requires that personnel in charge of control and auditing issues have a better knowledge of their role, their responsibilities and the legal framework of their business.
