He was appointed to head the Africa Bureau of the Bretton Woods institution.

This is a good point scored by Cameroon’s diplomacy. Albert G. Zeufack has been promoted to the head of the Economic Office of the African Region of the World Bank (WB). The former Sector Director of the Macro-Economy and Budget Management Department at the Bretton Woods institution will officially resume office on May 1.

From the newspaper’s opinion, the promotion of the Cameroonian, an official of the World Bank since 1997, “would better guide the policies of the Bretton Woods institution at a time when African economies begin a decisive turn. Decline in oil prices, falling commodity prices, are some of the reasons why the World Bank decided to encourage African countries to promote the diversification of their economies."

Needless to stress that Mr. Zeufack has the job profile. He holds “a Ph.D. in Economics obtained in 1996 at the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International (Centre for Studies and Research on International Development in French, Cerdi, Clermont-Ferrand in France).

As head of the Economic Office of the World Bank for the African region, the institution is certain to have both a connoisseur of the land, and technology.

Since his entry into the group of the World Bank, Albert Zeufack held various positions. Including a position of Director of Research and Investment for Khazanah Nasional Berhad, a Malaysian sovereign fund.

His most recent assignment was as Director of Macro Economics Practice and World Practical Financial Management," we read in the newspaper.
