6.5 billion FCFA for agronomic research in 2015

The 2015 budget of the Institute of agronomic research for development (IRAD) is balanced in revenue and expenditure to the sum of 12.2 billion Cfa francs, up 2.5 billion Cfa francs, announced IRAD in a statement.

On this envelope, the operational budget, i.e. one that will fund research activities, amounted to the sum of 6.5 billion Cfa francs, an increase of 53.1% compared to the year 2014.

According to IRAD, this increase in the envelope "is due in large part, to the consideration of the staffing special of 500 million francs Cfa granted by the Government, for the production in quantity basic seed improved high-impact speculation".
