The Cameroonian government has launched an international tender, for the recruitment of Indian companies to supply equipment production and cassava processing on an industrial scale.
These contracts, which will run in four batches, is aimed at the provision of more than 700 machines and tools.
The cumulative amount of contracts was 21.3 billion FCFA. Funding is provided by Exim Bank of India, as part of an agreement signed in 2012 between the Cameroonian and Indian governments, for the industrialization of cassava sector in Cameroon, sources informed.
The records of the bidders in this tender are expected by the Department of Public Markets on October 9, 2015. The contractors have a period of six months to deliver required equipment, from the date of notification of the service order by the Cameroonian government.
