Muslim Dignitaries meet in their 4th Congress

The Council of Imams and Muslim Dignitaries CIMD are meeting in Yaounde in their 4th congress organized under the theme: “Islam faced with the challenges of peace and security.”

The three day event which begins this Monday, May 9,2016 has been organized to calve out the necessary strategies needed to combat terrorism in Africa and Cameroon in particular.

Prior to the congress, the General Coordinator of the Council of Imams and Muslim Dignitaries CIMD Dr Moussa Oumarou has called on Muslim faithful to be promoters of peace and security which to him is needed in this era where terrorism is at its peak.

During the congress, the Muslim dignitaries will to be drilled on the different types of terrorist movements in Africa and how to avoid being part of them.

The conference is in prelude to the Nigerian summit on the Fight Against Boko Haram that will soon begin few days from now.
