In continuation to Easter celebration that saw its apotheosis on Sunday April 20, believed worldwide as the day Jesus rose from death, Dove Choir members marked the event through songs of praise, worship and thanksgiving unto the Almighty.

As from 6pm that fateful evening, the public started streaming in small groups. They were greeted by a set stage, with the evening transformed by lit bulbs, expressing the liveliness of the awaited show. Then the audience was gratified by a live singing show divided in two groups of nine and six songs.

Singing French and English Languages; other songs were presented in Cameroonian and foreign mother tongues. Each step was accompanied either by shouts, clapping, dancing or all, depending on the ongoing rhythm. Meanwhile the public did not play any lesser part. Rather, all present was actively involved all through the musical concert as though belonging to the choir.

After a short period of recess, Dove Choir regained the stage for their last performance. This pause was marked by the presence of a sister choir, Nouvelle Génération, which equally enlivened the hall with about 10 carefully selected songs. Seeing its second edition this year, the initiative according to Dove Choir’s president, Christian Petnga, is to reach out to the mass with the gospel of the new life Christ brings.
