Yaoundé Archdiocese gets new executive

Bishop Jean Mbarga renewed the team of his Archdiocese in a recently conducted installation last Tuesday.

In the presence of all the devotees and other Christian faithful, there was a celebration of the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which took place with the installation of the new team of the Archdiocese of Yaounde last Tuesday.

The team consist of two general vicars including Abbots Engelbert René Fouda Owona and Daniel Ewolo Bolo, the Diocesan Treasurer. Also, Father Emmanuel Thaddeus Abena, Vice Chancellor, Father Paul Engoulou Nsong, the spokesman. Others are Fr. Felix Desire Amougou and rector of the minor seminary St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Mvolye, Abbot André Yves Samekomba.

Appointed on June 12, they were installed by Bishop Jean Mbarga, Metropolitan Archbishop of Yaounde.

The people gathered in the presence of the clergy for the installation of the executive as they watched them profess their faith and commitments to work in close collaboration with the bishop as recommended by the Church.

"The diocesan services which are the chancellery, the Commissary, the seminary and the others are called to a requirement of expertise, total ecclesial, availability and generosity. For myself, your bishop, that the Holy Spirit helps me to be with you as the good shepherd who knows his sheep and his sheep knows him," said the Metropolitan Archbishop of Yaounde.
