In addition to these prayers, the Islamic Union of Cameroon (UIC), for its part, sent a letter of thanks to the Head of State. In essence, the UIC welcomes the commitment of the President to Islam in Cameroon, through a multi-dimensional daily support of imams. But above all, the "special assistance enjoyed by the Cameroonian pilgrims after the stampede in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj 2015".

Proven solicitude which continued with the release of a special assistance fund of 70 million F for the benefit of the families of 76 victims was confirmed.

In the same chapter of recognition, Islamic Cultural Association of Cameroon (ACIC) also acknowledged the relief of the Muslim community, following the presidential decree.

In a message, they reiterated the support of Muslim worshipers to the head of state and Cameroonian institutions. UIC, CACL and other Muslim associations reaffirmed their unconditional commitment to do more for the victory of Cameroon against Boko Haram.
