Maranatha Baptist Church-Bali gets new shepherd

Pastor Ngong Derick Che has been inducted as pastor of the Maranatha Baptist Church Sang- Bali during a church service on Sunday March 2, 2014, with a call to live by the scripture.

In his induction message, the Rev. Ndi Julius drawing inspiration from the book of 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 said we are living in a period of false teaching by men of God and church prostitution by Christians because as he put it, “many have turn to trust on Men of God than the God of Men” He said many Christians want to be pleased by sweet words of false prophesy about them.

The Rev. Ndi Julius went further to decry the distorting of the gospel of Christ where people have taken the authority of God in church instead of giving God the glory. He called on the new pastor of the Maranatha Baptist Church Bali and other men of God to use the authority of the scripture in their ministry and not to rely on their own authority and will see how the spirit of God will nurtured their ministry to grow to higher heights.

The Rev. Ngong Derick was born on March 4th 1977 in Bafmen, Menchum Division of the Northwest into a devout catholic family and attended his primary and secondary schools in Bafia Muyuka and Ombe where he obtained his Probatoire certificate in Electrical engineering.

He later on dropped out and moved into cocoa farming before finally answering his call to the ministry where he enrolled into the School of Theology in Ndu where he finally graduated with a bachelor of Arts in Biblical studies in 2013.
