End of Ramadan Feast on Friday, July 17

Muslim worshipers in Cameroon are preparing to celebrate Eid al-Fitr probably on Friday, July 17.

The beginning of the Ramadan fast was held on 18 June which on this occasion, some unanimity was reached on the date. This is thanks to a consensual meteorological work between astrological forecasts (astronomical calculations) and the traditional method which advocates the observation of the stars.

In France, for example, the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM), has helped to end the old controversy over the dates of the beginning and end of Ramadan.

In Cameroon, the National Commission of the lunar crescent (NPB) had also, assured that based on the traditional method (skies having been scrutinized on Tuesday, June 16 for the purpose of sighting the moon), it indicated that fasting should begin on June 18.

Thus, logically, the breaking of the fast of Ramadan feast (Eid al-Fitr) could take place this Friday, July 17, 2015.
