Michael Nanfack Tsafouet, student of Terminal D Intellexi College in Dschang is not dead. During the past week, there was rumour speculated by local media that he was dead following the psychological trauma suffered after his removal from the exam room during the baccalaureate and subsequent suspension.

The headmaster of the grammar school who accompanied him to the hospital was categorical in confirming that he found him healthy last week when he was in charge of the BEPC operations. "He came to see his friends who had finished writing the BEPC," he testified after a grudge was picked against teachers who were deemed "intolerant" in the management of the alleged malpractice.

Michael Nanfack Tsafouet and his friend Nana of the grammar school in Dschang could not write their baccalaureate this year because they were caught by the supervisors cheating.

On Wednesday, June 2, Nanfack Tsafouet completed his physics test before time and upon leaving, he helped his friend to complete his exam by switching answer sheets to finish that of his friend. They were caught by a supervisor.

Their papers were confiscated and then escorted out of the exam hall. Nanfack later collapsed and was taken to the Dschang district hospital where he won the sympathy of people after news of his supposed death circulated.

Nanfack, who was presented by teachers of Intellexi College as a brilliant student, seemed to have recovered. However, by the exam rules he would have to wait until 2018 to take part in the BACC.
