Sanofi, MTN Cameroon partner on health awareness

MTN Cameroon's Foundation and Sanofi have signed a partnership agreement to fight diabetes and high blood pressure.

The programme Health Alert, developed by Sanofi, the MTN Foundation and Ministry of Public Health, will run for two years.

The programme aims to sensitize 4 million people on the prevention of both non-transmissible illnesses thanks to the use of SMS and advanced technologies via the telecommunications network of MTN.

It should encourage screening as well as monitor roughly 1,000 new patients per month.
