Partnership agreement on fight against epilepsy

The Ministry of Public Health, a drug distribution Firm and the Organization in charge of the fight against Endemic Diseases in Central Africa- OCEAC have signed a Partnership agreement.

According to the terms of the convention, some five hundred and 15million CFA F will be invested to reinforce the capacity of Health Professionals in the sensitization of communities on the prevention and screening of epilepsy as well as patient and family care.

The partnership stands as a landmark event for creating awareness and care across Cameroon especially as many cases have been registered in Cameroon.

Seven health districts in the Centre and the Adamaoua Region have been shortlisted as beneficiaries to this convention.

Health officials believe that the terms of the convention will come along way to improve the conditions of people living with epilepsy in the country.
