MTN, Sanofi donate medical equipment to clinics

MTN Cameroon through its Foundation and Sanofi have donated medical equipment to four diabetes clinics at the AD LUCEM hospital in Bali, Douala, Littoral region.

The donation will support screening and awareness of diabetes and hypertension.

This bring the total number of clinics to seven which have been refurbished and equipped during the first phase.

For the second phase of the programme, the MTN Foundation shall also contribute to eight new clinics in the Centre, Littoral, South West, Adamawa, North West and West regions, notably through providing medical equipment for the screening and follow-up of patients as well as equipment for the clinics to improve the reception of patients.

The donation comes under the framework of the tripartite agreement signed between Sanofi, the MTN Foundation and the Ministry of Public Health to fight diabetes and high blood pressure through the project dubbed Health Alert.
